Captured For is a trio that came together in the depths of lockdown in Berlin. Both Simon and Matthias had recently moved to the city from NYC and Julian, also having spent time in NY, is a native Berliner.
The trio got together weekly at Julians bunker studio space to improvise and develop each other's compositions. It was out of these regular meetings that this video album was born.
The album's title takes its inspiration from the now famed postcard Eric Dolphy sent George Russell upon his arrival in Europe in 1961. It read "Trying to play the new concept with an outward bound feeling"
